Glass Artist

Hi there, my name is Benjamin Kikkert and thanks for checking out my website! I’m an emerging Canadian glass artist, born in Vancouver and based in Toronto as a resident of the glass studio at Harbourfront Centre. I consider myself a textural artist, and as a glassblower I like to combine unusual surface treatments with organic forms. I’m inspired by the tidal shorelines like the ones I grew up in, and the stratified mountains that surrounded me there. Photographing my work in situ amongst the barnacles or icy shores that inspired lends it a context I hope you can enjoy here!
