I seek to create objects possessing a character beyond their medium. I allude to the forces that shape the land around us, conveying tidal and geological stratum with unconventional textures and form. Encrusted marine relics, shorelines, cityscapes and icecaps possess uniquely weathered glass skins, alluding to a past, a history. Photographing these objects in situ sets a context for them and offers hints to this experience. My ideal is to rekindle within the viewer a portion of the intrigue they feel in exploring strange places and the objects they discover there.
